BABYMETAL resumes activities with a new album called “THE OTHER ONE”, while also teasing a never-before-seen “other side of BABYMETAL”-story that ties in parallel worlds.

BABYMETAL is finally about to break the seal that forced them to disappear last year, breaking their one-year hiatus! The wait was of course not for naught as with their upcoming return, there is an extensive roadmap available for fans to see what to expect in the coming months.

The roadmap is part of the “restoration project” to fully bring the legends, SU-METAL and MOAMETAL, back to earth after they were seen fading into oblivion last year. Currently, the restoration is stuck at 99%, because what is remaining is “THE ONE % in you” (the unity of the fans).

To make it happen, there are five separate song releases scheduled, a concept album set for worldwide release on March 24 next year called “THE OTHER ONE“, as well as two live shows on January 28 and 29 titled “BABYMETAL RETURNS – THE OTHER ONE –“.

One of the important takeaways from the roadmap is that with everything that is planned, it all leads to Fox Day. The day when the group previously received a new prophecy (in layman’s term, “an announcement”).

On top of the exciting news of BABYMETAL’s return, there is also a teaser for an “‘other’ story we never knew existed” that is currently “approaching its final stage”, as expressed by the video teaser that accompanied the announcement.

What we do know so far is that the side story plays in with the upcoming concept album, with each of the 10 songs representing a theme of the 10 parallel worlds.

Tickets to the concerts are already on sale today. The album preorder is up as well, but so far the album artwork remains veiled.

Including store and region exclusive listings, there are 12 album editions for the CD release, while vinyl gets six editions. In case you’re interested in buying multiple ones, the official UK webshop offers premade bundles which will grant you a slight discount.
