New Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands trailer features D&D, guns, and Babymetal

A brand new Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands trailer dropped during today’s PlayStation Showcase. Allow us for a moment to put Bill Hader’s Stefan voice because this trailer has ~everything~.

It’s got Dungeons & Dragons. It’s got Borderlands gunplay and looting. The great Ashly Burch returning to the role of Tiny Tina. It even has Babymetal‘s seminal hit Gimme Chocolate!! Truly, what more could you want from a trailer?

The game is a stand-alone spin-off from the Borderlands series. The concept itself expands on the campaign in the Borderlands 2 Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep DLC. That expansion ranks among the best work Gearbox has ever produced. The hook is that Tina wants to run a few new friends through a game that resembles (but is legally distinct from) Dungeons & Dragons. They roll up characters from one of four classes and embark on an epic quest with Tina as their capricious, manic DM.

Unlike other fantasy games that rely on medieval-style weaponry and combat, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is still all about gunplay.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is developed by Gearbox Software, and published by 2K Games. It has no confirmed release date at this time. It is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2022.
