BABYMETAL to open for Red Hot Chili Peppers on US tour

J-pop metal act BABYMETAL dominated the hard rock scene last year. Their sophomore album, METAL RESISTANCE, was one of the best releases in any genre, securing them spots opening for Red Hot Chili PeppersGuns N’ Roses, and Metallica. That success will extend into 2017, it seems, as the band has just announced their largest US concerts to date supporting RHCP in select cities.

The Peppers’ North American tour kicks off tonight in San Antonio, Texas, but BABYMETAL won’t be joining them until April. Their first scheduled opening slot comes April 12th at Washington, D.C.’s Verizon Center. They’ll stick with the tour through the rest of the month, wrapping up on the 29th in Miami.

Hopefully we’ll get another on-stage collaboration with Chad Smith like what happened in England. Revisit that moment under BABYMETAL and RHCP’s tour schedules below.
